Our Story
Hello! Thank you for visiting. I'm Kim, the founder and sole employee of lot8, a company dedicated to making functional, natural and sustainable products that reduce our reliance on single-use plastic.
It has been a journey and it all started with a linen bread bag.
When I inherited my late mom's sewing machine, I didn't know how to use it. In an effort to stay close to her, I learned. I made simple, functional pieces for my home...lot8 according to a 1910 survey map of my Junction neighbourhood in Toronto. I then branched out to selling in markets and shops, and now online. My product line includes aprons, tea towels, cloth napkins, eye pillows, totes and more, as well as upcycled products including natural cat toys, bunting flags and eye glass cases.
I've since moved to Stratford Ontario. In the middle of farm country, my mission is even clearer! I want to create natural, durable, functional products that encourage re-use while minimizing fabric waste. A portion of all sales is donated to The United Way Perth Huron to help solve #unignorable issues. Thank you for shopping small.
